There’s more good news for families with young children. The baseball stadium recently installed a self-sanitizing diaper changing table from Chicago-based Pluie in the White Sox Mothers’ Nursing Room.

The nursing room was created in 2019, complete with plush chairs, a changing tables and electrical outlets for parents breastfeeding. In that same year, they also created a Sensory Room to make their ballpark experience more welcoming to all fans.

How Pluie Works

Created by two local moms, Pluie provides a safer experience for parents with its new self-sanitizing diaper changing stations. The table’s patented UV-C light system helps kill germs in less than a minute when closed.

“Businesses and public places need to focus on sanitation and cleanliness now more than ever. Pluie is not just a changing table, it is peace of mind. Simply put, every women’s, men’s, all-gender restrooms should have Pluie,” Brittany Hizer, co-founder and COO of Pluie, said in a press release.

Other features of the table include multi-purposed handles, a plush leak-free cushion and a security strap to help keep young children safe while they’re being changed. Pluie tables have also been installed in other Chicagoland locations such as restaurants, parks, retail and healthcare facilities.
